Community Partner Work
Design Thinking for The Public Good
In the spring semester, I took a course called Design Thinking for the Public Good, which was an interdisciplinary exploration of how design principles can be harnessed to address complex societal challenges. This course provided a dynamic platform for collaboration with students from various academic backgrounds, fostering a rich exchange of ideas and perspectives. Through hands-on design sprints, I gained practical experience in applying design thinking methodologies to tackle real-world problems with a focus on social impact. The course emphasized the importance of empathy in understanding the needs of diverse stakeholders and emphasized the iterative process of prototyping and testing solutions to drive meaningful change. This artifact is an example of a journey map during an ideation design sprint with a community partner. This specific map represents the journey towards facilitating an efficient, successful, and communicative handoff for the ATL main security checkpoint to ensure day one operations commence seamlessly without interruption to passengers.
