Interactive Community Map

In our MEITE Seminar II Class, we worked on a semester-long project with two different companies. Among them, I had the honor of working closely with HopeNC, a non-profit dedicated to fostering inclusive communities where people of all abilities and ages experience a sense of belonging. HopeNC's main mission is to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities find housing. In our partnership, we embarked on a journey to conceptualize a space that would vividly illustrate the future community, thereby attracting potential investors. Harnessing the power of design thinking, our team conceptualized an innovative solution: an interactive map embodying HopeNC's core values of inclusivity, diversity, engagement, accessibility, and lifelong support.

As the project lead, I took charge of crafting accessible imagery using Adobe Firefly, drafting compelling narratives to highlight HopeNC's values, and orchestrating the entire map's creation through Articulate Storyline. As my first real project using Storyline, I initially faced a steep learning curve. However, I seized the opportunity to expand my skill set, swiftly adapting to using Storyline to craft the interactive map. Witnessing the map's fruition was immensely gratifying, and I take pride in the impact our project has made in advancing HopeNC's mission.
